SyncApps recently joined Pledge 1% as part of our continuous effort to give back to our community. Pledge 1% is a global movement that encourages companies of all sizes to donate 1% of their staff time, product, profit, or equity, or any combination of the four, to philanthropic endeavors of their choosing. “We have always supported nonprofits through special plans and special discounts at SyncApps. It is now time to take the next step and create an initiative of our own, along with our commitment to Pledge 1%. We’re looking to make more of a difference in the lives of those around us”, says Angelie Abratiguin, SyncApps by Cazoomi, Philippines founder.
SyncApps started on its new mission by helping the less fortunate people close to the company’s home in Cagayan de Oro. In October, food packs and school supplies were distributed to Barangay Indahag, the relocation sites of victims of the Sendong typhoon by SyncApps consultants.
Feeding Philippines is the new initiative started by the team behind SyncApps by Cazoomi. What began over a decade ago as one software company founder’s effort to help local farmers has now turned into giving back 1% of the company’s time, technology, and profit to locals.
This is just the first step. SyncApps is also on a mission to empower other entrepreneurs in the area to join them and start making a real difference in the lives of their communities.
